New Age cult leader Alyce Zeoli (@JALpalyul) has been bellowing on Twitter about how her land in Arizona, known as "Dakini Valley," is being kept "in trust" for the reincarnation of Penor Rinpoche.

Lets look at the public records, shall we?

As seen above, the "Dakini Valley" property was taken in two transactions, and the beneficiary is not Penor Rinpoche. Rather, the beneficiary is something called "Dakini Valley, LLC."

"Dakini Valley LLC" is a for-profit entity, curiously owned and operated by a down-at-the-heels carpenter, a children's book author and his somewhat diminished son, and a defunct Maryland corporation still under the nominal control of Alyce's ex-husband.

All of this, of course, comes as a terrible surprise to the people who were swindled into believing they were financing a "Buddhist retreat center." Some victims paid as much as $60,000 for a "share" in the operation, and a "seat on the board." Of course, like all of Alyce Zeoli's self-serving schemes, nothing of the sort was ever intended, and the proof is in the paperwork. If the victims dared to scream in pain, they were beat down by Alyce's anonymous bullies... and some not so anonymous.

Some highly professional people who know how are taking a good, hard look at Mr. Somerville and Mr. Rowe these days.

Whining Weasels On the Run

Note: The following was published on another blog today, and purports to be a letter from "Lama" Lobsang Chopel, former private secretary to the late Penor Rinpoche. This is a most interesting document, made no less interesting by the way it was surfaced, and the medium in which it was surfaced. Please understand that Lobsang Chopel is brand manager of the Palyul franchises in the U.K. and in Maryland, U.S.A., and is strongly supported by New Age "channeler"Alyce Zeoli's New Palyul Lineage cult. Namdroling has to pay him certain mind because he controls access to overseas money. Beyond that, however, here is a man who has spent a lifetime basking in reflected glory, unwilling to give up his privileged position, clearly jockeying for angles. Let it be understood that he has appropriated Penor Rinpoche's personal seals, and uttered a steady stream of forgeries in Penor Rinpoche's name.

"To all Palyul students, I think there are many threats to our lineage right now and I feel we do need answers from HH Karma Kuchen, the other heart sons and Khenchen Tsewang. This is the letter supposedly sent from Lobsang in October 2009. Reading this letter carefully explains what is happening within our lineage. How is the power being consolidated within the US? Who is running what or who will be running what? As Bill has said, we do need answers otherwise we will fall apart."

"To All Palyul brothers and sisters, please see the letter from Lama Lobsang Chopel below. Please pass it on to anyone you believe may benefit from knowing."

Khenchen Tsewang Gyatso: he refers to

Alyce Zeoli as a "suicide bomber."

    From Lobsang:

    To Khenchen Tsewang Gyatso and all the Tulkus' lotus feet,

    I, Lobsang Chophel, respectfully prostrate and request from my heart that you hear what I have to say.

    For about 30 years, from the time I was young until now, I have served His Holiness Penor Rinpoche. Other people have either liked me in that position or not, but His Holiness and I have had an extremely comfortable outer, inner and secret relationship. He would give me a direct order and I did it always exactly as he wished. I did everything he asked. Because of that, up until His Holiness' last moments, we shared the same samaya and the same motivation. So, in that way, in my life, I am very lucky. It is my good fortune.

    Even before the ending of Rinpoche's thugdam, or the 49 days, you all have done many shameless acts, and told many lies. In spite of that, I did, as much as I was capable of, handle this without any opposing word or action. I did this because of the presence of Rinpoche's Kundun body, and my desire to not bring shame to Rinpoche's reputation. Because of these two motivations, I was patient with all you were doing to me and to others. With the end of the 49 days, my responsibility ended. The job of caring for His Holiness, while he was alive ­ from beginning to middle and end ­ the entire activity is pure white. The head is white and the end of the tie is also white. So all these activities which I performed to benefit Palyul and Penor Rinpoche – if there is anything worthy ­ I offer it to the Three Jewels. If there is no benefit to Palyul and His Holiness, then there is nothing more I am able to offer.

    Namdroling's new special high council, (two Tulkus & 3 Khenchens) convened an administrative meeting prior to the arrival of His Holiness Karma Kuchen during His Holiness Penor Rinpoche¹s thugdam. At that meeting I made the request that you prove these insults you have spoken, one by one ­ both those to myself and others as well. At that meeting everyone verbally denied the things that had been said, however no one would commit to writing the words they had spoken so easily. So I now repeat my request.

    At the Palyul Retreat Center, in upstate NY, we had another meeting, and in front of 3 Tulkus and 1 Khenchen I spoke about how I had served His Holiness tirelessly with my whole heart. And with my tears, I spoke of the lies that had been spoken against myself and others. Specifically, they are:

    1- You said that His Holiness passed away because of the actions of Paljor and myself. This was said by you, the special council, during the administrative meeting.

    So, today, do all of you think same thing or not? If you still think this is true, please let me know and I will bring all the medical records during the last few years to any court in the world so we can clarify this openly. If you think that is not true, then please will you issue a written letter stating that it was a false accusation? I have requested that in the meeting where all the Khenchens denied the accusations, but would not say so in writing, only their words.

    2- You said that, during the last stage of His Holiness' final stay in the Bangalore hospital, that you saw Lobsang (me) try to keep His Holiness either in the hospital, or if that was not possible, arrange take him to His Holiness' brother's house in Bangalore to die there. Further, you said that it was you (the special council) who brought him back to the monastery in Bylakuppe. These words were spoken by you to all of Namdroling's monks, and these are lies.

    Because, when His Holiness was in his last stage ­ I, Lobsang, together with Mugsang Tulku, Gyangkhang Tulku and two doctors ­ met in the hospital's office and discussed what kind of transportation we would take to the monastery. ­ helicopter or ambulance. We decided on the ambulance and when the decision was made final, I personally called the Royal Bhutan ambassador and asked him to request the Indian government to provide a special police escort from Bangalore to the monastery to help ease any disturbances along the way and make the journey more comfortable for His Holiness. That is how we reached the monastery. Both of you Tulkus know everything because you were there ­ they are lying. Again, I request that you give me a letter that whatever I did was in the best interests of His Holiness and Palyul. As often as I have made these requests, I only get words, no written confirmation. I'm especially sad about these two subjects.

    In general, as the leaders of Namdroling, when you speak, you have to be really truthful. If you speak in that way, it will be easy to speak and easy for others to listen comfortably. If you are just supporting each other with bargains, and ignoring the karma of ill speech, no one will hear you with comfort for it is not the truth. If you are bargaining with each other, do you think that is His Holiness' wish that you don't follow the karma? I don¹t think it is his wish. So please keep that in mind.

    If I don¹t get these two letters, validating the truth of my actions, there is no reason for us to get together again. We will have no basis for talking.

    Concerning the upstate NY center, during His Holiness' visits to America in 1997 and 1998, he mentioned that he wanted to have one large center in the upstate NY area as the main head of all his centers. Because of this, following his direction, I started this center. It has been going for 12 years. For this entire time, Tsewang Norbu and myself designed and built the center, following His Holiness' direct orders. To date we have 500 acres of land, houses and many assets. To accomplish both fundraising and expansion ­all the jobs required – we both worked tirelessly to see it come to fruition. Nowadays, there are various people saying they helped the center over the years ­ but actually we never got anyone's support for this project. To find out how we did it, you can ask the local people who know how we faced the difficulties and overcame them.

Alyce seems to spend a lot of time flying around in space.

    It's important for everyone to know that all the assets ­ land, buildings, cars etc, – are legally owned by Palyul Ling. Nothing belongs to any individual. This is the only way we can operate under American law. It's important to know that.

    During the legal incorporation of Palyul Ling, His Holiness and I discussed the succession of the presidency of Palyul Ling. It was His Holiness' wish that the president always be the current Throneholder of Palyul. To honor that wish, before the Summer retreat, I asked His Holiness Karma Kuchen Rinpoche, as the current Throneholder, to be the President of Palyul Ling. At that time, His Holiness Karma Kuchen was not ready to fully accept the position. Since I don't want to force him to take the job, when he gives me the letter saying he wants to be president, I will do that immediately.

    Regarding the other officers of Palyul Ling and the daily routine, that should all continue as it was during His Holiness' life with no changes for now. It is running peacefully now, and it should continue that way. There should be no more changes like those already done this year. In the future, we will sit down and discuss how we can best serve Buddhists in general and Palyul specifically in how we handle the administration. We can also discuss how best to transfer this center to the next reincarnation of His Holiness when the time comes. Once this is legally finalized in writing, I will leave the administration. I won't bargain like the special council of Namdroling (if you do this I'll help, if you do that I won't). If we set the organization up in a way that transfers to the next His Holiness Penor Rinpoche, I'll step down and not be involved.

    I feel I need to think in great detail on this subject because His Holiness faithfully gave me this job. And I also have to think very carefully concerning how this center can help Buddhists and Palyul and be returned to Holiness' hands as he would wish. Unless I am careful, the center could end up in the hands of some family. At the end of the day, they will have it for their own use. If that is even a remote possibility, then in the worst case, I will wait for His Holiness' reincarnation and keep the organization and center for him myself.

    I want you to especially understand neither myself nor Tsewang Norbu get any benefit from the center. We have and will continue to work tirelessly for the center without appropriating any assets for ourselves. If you don't believe that, you¹ll have to wait and see, since I can't do anything now to show you differently.

Alyce and her cult, KPC, clearly like the idea of creating scapegoats.

They spend enormous time and money denouncing those who know the truth.

A Clear and Present Danger to A Buddhist Free Press

Three months ago I decided I wanted to write a blog for my publisher, Elephant Journal, on the subject of Kunzang Palyul Choling, a Tibetan Buddhist franchise founded by a controversial Palyul lineage tulku.  I’m a 2010 Blogisattva Honorable Mention for Political and Opinion blogging by a Buddhist. As a journalist I thought it would make it an interesting column.

Unfortunately, before I was able to even finish my blog I was notified by Waylon Lewis, publisher of Elephant Journal, that he had received threatening phone calls from Kunzang Palyul Choling. Even a law suit without merit could put his magazine out of business. This was no idle threat. So advised, I was in the process of finishing my blog when Waylon notified me that he had received a cease and desist letter from KPC’s lawyer.

This is not a squabble between Buddhists. It is a threat against our fundamental right to a free press. Fortunately for Kunzang Palyul Choling, Buddhists don’t care about free speech. KPC can threaten to put a publisher out of business to block the publication of a blog about them with impunity. I wouldn’t have believed this to be so, but this has been the response from Buddhists to date.

The Palyul lineage (of which KPC is a nominal affiliate because its founder was recognized by His Holiness Penor Rinpoche as a tulku and enthroned as such) can do nothing even if it were so inclined. As a Buddhist franchise, KPC does not accept the authority of the present head of the Palyul lineage, His Holiness Karma Kuchen. The founder of KPC does not answer to HHKK.

When Travis May published a blog on Buddhadharma about the KPC SLAPP Scandal the editor removed it. Was KPC threatened? No, it wasn’t threatened. Worse, it simply doesn’t care. Why? It doesn’t care because Buddhists don’t care. None of the glossy Buddhist magazines is willing to cover this story. Buddhists don’t believe in a free press.

But surely Buddhist bloggers care? Nope. One Buddhist blogger informed me he wasn’t interested. It would be too much work. It’s much easier to write about wisdom and compassion instead. His audience will just eat that up and ask for more. There is no upside to a Buddhist blogger in harshing the mellow of his audience over something of such little or no interest to Buddhists as a free press seems to be.

The response of individual Buddhists has been even worse—unsolicited dharma advice on Tonglen, sending and receiving. We are to exchange our attachment to our right to free speech for the peace of mind that comes with caring only about ourselves. I kid you not. That’s what Shantideva taught. This is the path of the bodhisattva. The Buddhist response has been that it’s perfectly acceptable what KPC has done.

We are two weeks into this scandal. I thank John Pappas for providing me the opportunity to share with you this breaking story. This is but the beginning. Until the Palyul lineage issues a public statement in support of press freedom, until Buddhist bloggers step up and make their voices heard on this subject, and until Buddhists consider the slippery moral slope we now find ourselves upon, I have only yet begun to fight.

"Jetsunma's" Broken Samaya

"Just be harmonious with each other and do your very best and follow the pure tradition, not “my way.” Don’t follow the highway of “my way,” that’s very shameful. That will cover up the pure Buddhist doctrine. And don’t mix the tradition with other things, with your own ideas and your own cultures. Don’t follow cultures for that matter. You don’t need to follow any culture, just the pure Buddhadharma, and nothing ever needs to be changed. It’s so sad when people think they need to adjust Buddha’s speech, like pouring blood into pure milk."

The above was spoken by Gyaltrul Rinpoche, who New Age cult leader "Jetsunma" Ahkon Lhamo (Alyce Zeoli) frequently refers to as her root guru. Yet, yesterday, the following comment appeared on her website, as prelude to yet another convoluted tirade that demonstrates nothing more than her ignorance of the dharma and profoundly broken samaya: 

"An excerpt from a teaching called Dharma and the Western Mind by Jetsunma Ahkon Lhamo: 'Adapting Dharma for Westerners is not difficult if you understand what our needs are.'"

Alyce Zeoli dares to "teach" contrary to her root guru's specific instructions, and she even does it while he is still alive. Can you imagine how destructive she will become when he passes away?

The Chicago Sting

Elephant Journal's popular contributor Bill Schwartz recently let it be known that he was publishing a story about the Jetsunma Cult's decaying franchise. This did not sit well with the P.R. obsessed "sangha," or its founder, New Age "channeler" Alyce Zeoli. They had a lawyer draft up a letter threatening EJ publisher Waylon Lewis before the article was even published! That's called "SLAPP," or strategic litigation against public participation, and is a despised censorship technique. Now, KPC's attempt at spin control has backfired, as online journalists like Buddhadharma have taken up the fallen banner.

Playing Politics

Alyce Zeoli's political activity under scrutiny

Under the Internal Revenue Code, all section 501(c)(3) organizations are absolutely prohibited from directly or indirectly participating in, or intervening in, any political campaign on behalf of (or in opposition to) any candidate for elective public office. Contributions to political campaign funds or public statements of position (verbal or written) made on behalf of the organization in favor of or in opposition to any candidate for public office clearly violate the prohibition against political campaign activity. Violating this prohibition may result in denial or revocation of tax-exempt status and the imposition of certain excise taxes. 

We do know that several complaints have been filed in Maryland against Alyce Zeoli's "New Palyul Lineage," also known as "KPC," and that a formal investigation is now underway. This investigation includes screen captures of literally hundreds of political "tweets" by Zeoli, her followers, and officers of the KPC organization.

Peeling the Onion

The trail begins and ends in Hong Kong, where all good money launderers always go in an attempt to hide their ill-gotten gains.

The trail then proceeds to Maryland, to a corporation (not in good standing) registered to an ex-husband (also not in good standing).

Just to confuse matters, there is also a highly similar corporation (not in good standing) involving the same creative thinking.

Nevertheless, the trail then moves to Arizona, to another  similarly-named corporation (not in good standing). Matter of fact, that corporation has been DISSOLVED by the Secretary of State for non-compliance with reporting procedures. That is a familiar theme in this little tale of woe.

But wait just a funky Chicago second..... what about that little fundraising situation back in April of 2010? That one where cult leader Alyce Zeoli and her well known cast of cyber-bullies were so desperate for your dollars to "save the temple?" 

Seems to me that money supposedly went to pay off a note against property held by a corporation that basically doesn't exist.

That's what the public records say, and that's what the seasoned fraud investigators say. That's also what it says on the documents that Alyce Zeoli and cohorts submitted to the lenders.

Now wait just another second.... wasn't that whole episode overshadowed by a magical donation of $117,000 wire-transfered from Pathgate Institute of Buddhist Studies in the United Kingdom? 

Except, there is no Companies House listing for Pathgate Institute of Buddhist Studies.

The only "Pathgate" known to Companies House is this one:

Hmm... this onion is starting to stink.... lets peel some more, shall we?

Why, its a reference to somebody named "Lama Dondrup Dorje." Now, that wouldn't happen to be a certain Hong Kong martial arts personality running around the British Isles using various Tibetan names, now would it?

A "Living Buddha" Breaks Vows In Public

Dudjom Rinpoche's commentary to Ngari Panchen's Ascertaining the Three Vows points out that it is a serious breach of one's vows to mentally forsake any sentient being. Indeed, "Aspirational training according to the tradition of Asanga is to never mentally forsake any sentient being... ."

The Madwoman of Poolesville reveals herself yet again. 

Another Roadside Attraction

Expect some big news about that troubled stupa in Sedona, an artifact of the rapidly decaying Jetsunma Cult's grandiose schemes and dreams. Seems that some magicians have been at work lately, and not without effect.

Save Lucian?

It all started with this heart-wrenching photograph of an abandoned dog, in Ohio, seen here at the Germantown Animal Health Clinic.

Alyce Zeoli (she calls herself "Jetsunma," and "Ahkon Lhamo") seized on the issue, and began broadcasting appeals for attention and money. Members of the New Palyul Lineage, or KPC cult, jumped on the band wagon with an endless series of "retweets" on Twitter.

However, the Germantown Animal Health Clinic, under the direction of Dr. Lisa Woods, DVM, was not about attention and money, and wanted no part of "@ahkonlhamo" and her crazy masquerade.

That is when the game turned ugly. 

When she would not play ball, Alyce Zeoli and the KPC Cult attacked Dr. Lisa Woods personally, with fury and intensity.

These attacks continued, unabated, over several days, with endless retweets by cult followers and those duped by the cruel propaganda campaign.

When one reads some of these "tweets," one cannot help but be reminded of the Manchurian Candidate: "@ahkonlhamo is the most loving caring person I've ever known..," writes one brain-washed cult follower.

When on-line critics protested Alyce Zeoli's thuggish comments, and KPC's bullying tactics, they were treated to threats of a lawsuit -- a favorite KPC tactic these days.

KPC cult follower "@sangyeH," actually Christine Hatchion, was a particularly vicious participant in the campiagn, attacking Dr. Woods directly.

Alyce Zeoli and the KPC cult members repeated the same themes, over and over, for days on end. They also repeatedly posted the first photograph of the starved dog, Lucian.

The same "tweets" were repeatedly posted, using automation programs designed for on-line marketing users.

Over a period of two or three days, literally hundreds of these automated posts went out, in an attempt to drive the harassment campaign "viral."

But, the on-line thugs and bullies had one problem they could not ovecome....

Dr. Lisa Woods is an extremely skilled vet, and the dog Lucian got better and better. In an attempt to curtail the harassment, Dr. Woods notified the police of her predicament, reportedly hired an attorney, and posted pictures of the recovering dog on her Facebook pages.

This did not stop Alyce Zeoli and the KPC cult, who continued their campaign without mercy.

The cynical group used the poor dog's tragedy to ruthlessly self-promote its own fundrasing efforts in the animal rescue field. Here, you see KPC cult executive "@anisonams," actually Carla Shroeder, claiming that Alyce Zeoli derives no income from these efforts. 

Actually, that is an indefensible misrepresentation of fact. 

As an audit of financial records will quickly establish, Alyce Zeoli has for many years regularly taken a ten percent "cut" of  fundraising efforts.

In fact, we openly challenge Alyce Zeoli and KPC to make all of their financial records for the past twenty years available to independent auditors. As these records pertain to 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, there has to be transparency in order to protect the public.

Lucian the dog is gaining weight, walking in the backyard, playing with his siblings, and bonding with his caretakers. He is not in a muzzle. He does not have worms. He is not lying on a concrete floor.

No matter how much Alyce Zeoli and KPC want you to believe otherwise. 

Complete Delusion

Portly New Age cult leader Alyce Zeoli -- she calls herself "Jetsunma" -- has apparently experienced some sort of psychotic break -- or so it would seem from her Twitter posts of recent date. In the post above, she forges a "tweet" from one of her cult followers -- they like to dress up in costume and pretend they are "Buddhist nuns" -- in which she claims that Padmasambhava recognized her as Mandarava, and ... well, you can see for yourself.

You can also see that "Ani" Palmo presented no such tweet for Alyce to re-tweet -- it was all just more KPC, or New Palyul Lineage cult (they are also calling themselves the "Poolesville Lineage" now) smoke and mirrors.

Please... someone with a heart... get this poor woman the psychiatric attention she so obviously and desperately needs. It is a cruelty to let her go on this way.

An Open Challenge to the Palyul Retreat

As anyone who follows her posts on Twitter already knows, Ahkon Lhamo, who likes to call herself "Jetsunma," is becoming more and more erratic and embarrassing not only to the Palyul lineage, but to the Nyingma School as a whole. Lately, she has become increasingly abusive toward others. As an example, in the post above, you see the low esteem in which she holds the Palyul khenpos at this year's retreat.

In the post above, you see an argumentative and abusive "Jetsunma" admit that she has purchased and is employing "night vision" surveillance equipment against people she considers her "enemies." This is clear evidence of an extremely sick mind. These are not the actions of an enlightened master, nor of a "Living Buddha," as she has instructed her students to refer to her.

The longer that Palyul lineage tulkus and khenpos permit this behavior to go unchallenged, the greater the harm. Whether Palyul leaders feel they are honoring Penor Rinpoche's memory, whether they feel they are being polite, or whether it is just typical evasion of an uncomfortable situation, the fact remains that silence implies consent. Ahkon Lhamo is a drug abuser, an alcoholic, and an unstable psychiatric patient on heavy medication -- all of which she attempts to conceal at any cost. If her conduct is left unchecked, she will continue to harm others, and will become an even greater danger to herself.

We openly challenge those now attending the Palyul retreat in upstate New York to expose and condemn Ahkon Lhamo's long record of deception and abuse. 

To do otherwise is cowardice.

We also openly challenge those who offer financial sponsorship to Palyul projects and events to withhold their support until this disgrace to the lineage has been rectified. 

Does it make any sense at all to donate money that is used to stalk and harass others?

Finally, let it be understood that this problem will not just resolve itself. When the tulkus and khenpos who are attending this year's retreat applied for entry into the United States, they promised American authorities that they would behave appropriately. Unless these tulkus and khenpos actually endorse the harm and harassment of United States citizens, they should make their position on Ahkon Lhamo's conduct very, very clear indeed.

There is no good reason not to do so.

Dr. Schwetz and Liberation Farms

Somebody might want to get with the Bank of America legal department and check this out. Susan A. Homire and her estranged husband Bernard A. Schwetz, operating under the Homire-Schwetz Family Revocable Trust dated 5/2/03, are claiming in January 2008 that 17601 Conoy Road, Barnesville, Maryland 20838 is "such mortgagor's principal residence," in return for a fat two hundred grand.

Except.... 

Except, Susie Homire, who also goes by the name "Rabden," and poor Bernie don't live there. According to federal election contribution records -- and her own incessant "tweets" -- this is the principal residence of Alyce Zeoli -- the infamous "Liberation Farms" of the equally infamous "Jetsunma" of the New Palyul Lineage Cult, also known as KPC.

Maybe somebody needs to visit with Dr. Bernard A. Schwetz, who presumably knows something about toxicology and experiments with humans, and and wise him up about "Rabden's" involvement with the toxic cult that so enjoys experimenting with the lives of others.

Never fear, gentle readers... as long as KPC continues to intimidate, harass, and cyberstalk others, we will continue to follow the sad record of their scams, frauds, and selfish plans to feather the already well-feathered nest of "Jetsunma:" the Buddhist Tammy Faye Baker?

Pity that the property has now become a crash pad for drugged out musicians and Zeoli's cult of fake monastics. Here is one open record, a screenshot taken directly from the web, demonstrating that the house has become an "anything goes" center, with boarders paying heavy rents for the privilege of basking in their twisted leader's fading light. While not out searching for employment, "Ani Hesper" likes to talk smack on Twitter these days. Strange how Dr. Schwetz forgot to mention her when he was negotiating with the bank.

Is it also possible that Dr. Schwetz also forgot to mention Alyce Zeoli and the compassionate and beneficial Jane Drake (any relation to Paul?) when he was claiming a homestead exemption on the property:

 

Seems there are a lot of things Bernie doesn't like to reveal. Interesting, how this former Food and Drug Administration official neglects to inform that an automobile registered to Alyce Zeoli was stopped and impounded in Texas, a quantity of narcotics was seized, and the driver and passenger arrested.

Was Alyce Zeoli's cult running narcotics from Arizona to Maryland, to the homestead and principal residence of a former Food and Drug Administration official? How much did he know, and when did he know it?

Defaming Stupas

 

The sick spectacle on Twitter just will not stop. Self-styled "lineage holder" Alyce Zeoli or @ahkonlhamo (she calls herself "Jetsunma") recently devoted several posts to defaming a stupa building project being conducted by someone she considers an "enemy." To accomplish this, Alyce used both her own account, and those of her alter ego @italiansteed -- wherein she claimed to be a student of Sogyal Rinpoche! Alyce also published critical blog posts, and a host of sarcastic "tweets" we will not bother to reproduce.

 

What is interesting to note is that, in the wake of her slanders, Alyce (1) had a $250,000 note called on a house she claims is a temple, (2) her dog died, (3) her friend died, (4) her health declined, and (5) her posts became increasingly violent and psychotic in nature.

Apparently, Alyce doesn't understand cause and effect very well. Today, the vilification of the stupas by Alyce and her cult "KPC," or the "New Palyul Lineage" was resumed by a KPC "nun," Christine Hatchion, also known on Twitter as @sangyeH. 

This is incredibly ignorant behavior by people who claim to be followers of the Nyingma School of Tibetan Buddhism. Alyce Zeoli and the New Palyul Lineage have disgraced the memory of Penor Rinpoche and shocked the conscience of Buddhists everywhere.

To the Maryland Attorney General: UPDATED X2

Today, a cult organization in Poolesville and Barnesville, Maryland posted the above notice on their web site http://www.tara.org, soliciting funds from the general public and in interstate commerce. You will notice they have published the claim their property and assets will be seized if they do not get $250,000 by:00 p.m. the 29th of April.

You will also find that the leader of this cult, Alyce Zeoli, published fundraising appeals linked to this claim on Twitter, where she participates using numerous avatars, inclusive of @ahkonlhamo.

When other participants on Twitter asked to see proof of the above claims, i.e. that a "Buddhist" temple in Maryland was about to have its property and assets seized, Alyce Zeoli and her group responded by trying to have the critic's account shut down. They also refused to provide any documentation supporting their claims of financial emergency, such as the name of the involved bank, or a copy of the letter of impending seizure.

This group, Kunzang Palyul Choling, has a long history of abuse of the public trust in financial dealings, in Maryland, Arizona, elsewhere in the United States and overseas.

As Buddhists and concerned citizens, we are asking you to open an immediate and detailed investigation into this organization and its leadership for fraudulent fundraising practices, and to conduct a complete and thorough audit of their financial affairs, with particular reference to self-dealing and conversion of assets involving the group's leadership.

UPDATED:
So, if you donated money to this "telethon" in the belief that a Buddhist temple was at risk -- as the KPC people claimed -- you are in for a big surprise:

"Coincidentally, our attorneys were able to arrange a two-week extension... " So, knowing that, they went ahead with the appeal anyway. Whatever works, right?

A telephone call to the M&T Bank Legal Department would have saved everyone a lot of panic. They refused to confirm the "Temple seizure" story.

Here it is in black and white -- evidence of fraudulent claims.

That's David A. Williams, presumably sobered up long enough to be "tweeting" as @kpcmonk while assisting in the scheme. Use of the various communications devices and mediums, plus the self-admitted international angle, raises this from state jurisdiction to a federal matter.

From overseas, comes the rather interesting news that $117,000 came in one lump sum donation from Pathgate International -- the shadowy Palyul martial arts operation in London.
